Error Code "E18" (Lens unit/Lens barrier error)

When a camera error occurs, an error code like "Exx" will be displayed, where the x'srepresent numbers.

The "E18" error code indicates an error that involves the lens unit or lens barrier. Or it may appear if you apply pressure to the area surrounding the lens while handling the camera.

Solution:

Check the following when you operate the camera to avoid applying pressure to the lens and surrounding area:

-Hold the camera so that your fingers do not touch the lens unit when you are shooting.

-Make sure the camera is off before you put it back in the soft case.

If you cannot clear the error code by turning the camera off and then on again, or if the error code is displayed frequently, a camera malfunction may have occurred.

Please contact the retailer where you purchased the camera or the nearest Canon service center.

也就是开机状态那个镜头根本不能碰，碰出毛病了就只有拿去修。唉～～怎么其他型号的机子没听说有这个毛病啊。

佳能A60能升级成A70吗？

A60不可能比500w像素的相机好的，这一点不用怀疑，只是你用500w像素相机排1027*768大小的照片当然不觉得，要是你用最大分辨率在极精细模式下拍一张再和A60比较就知道了。

A60怎么才能升级成A70呢？首先单纯的刷新成A70的Fireware肯定是行不通的，为什么呢？先来看一个重要的指标——镜头变焦能力，宣传时都是3×变焦能力，但二者是有差异的：A60其实是2.5倍光学变焦，A70实际为3.2倍光变。这意味着什么呢？也就是说在Fireware对镜筒马达的驱动上输出的脉冲是不一样的，好了，这么一说再看看单纯刷新是不是会出问题呢？

况且两者的内部电路基板外形是一样的，但是上面的零部件元器件，A60比A70有所减少，关键是少了十几个电阻和电容正因为这样才能降低成本啊！

因此唯一的“升级方法”是完全拆开基板补全元器件再用A70的“主基板电气测试仪器”测试，机器本身就可重新写入A70的Fireware，这时主基板上的各个电压值也调整到了恰当的好处，升级成功！说实话，这样的方法是不是对普通用户不太适用呢？：）
